The very first game of the weekend will feature an exciting matchup in the 19U division as St. James (19U Elite) faces off against the Philadelphia Belles (19U Diamond). This highly anticipated game will take place at Hollydell Ice Arena and is set to start at 9:50 am on September 7th. Both teams are eager to showcase their skills and set the tone for a thrilling season ahead.
As the season unfolds, fans can stay up-to-date with all the latest action by visiting the AGHF Game Center, where scores, stats, and highlights will be updated regularly. Additionally, information about the various AGHF showcases happening throughout the season can be found on our website.

In a significant development for the girls’ hockey scene, the North Jersey Avalanche is set to make their debut in the Atlantic Girls Hockey Federation (AGHF) for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Kratzer’s journey from her roots in boys’ hockey to becoming a standout defenseman for the Lady Devils exemplifies the dedication and talent cultivated within the AGHF.
In her second season with the AGHF, Kratzer has left an indelible mark on the league, showcasing her prowess on the ice with 20 goals and 12 assists, totaling an impressive 32 points in 37 games played this season. Her contributions have been instrumental in propelling the Lady Devils to a commendable second-place finish in the AGHF Playoffs, solidifying her reputation as a formidable force in women’s hockey.

Krempa’s journey in hockey has been marked by dedication and skill. In her time with the Lady Devils, she has honed her talents on the ice, showcasing her abilities as a formidable forward. Throughout the current season, Krempa has demonstrated her prowess in 64 games, amassing 2 goals and 8 assists for a total of 10 points. Snider Hockey is thrilled to announce its membership in the Atlantic Girls Hockey Federation (AGHF) for the 2024-25 season. Founded in 2005 as the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation as a means to create opportunities for inner-city youth to play hockey, a partnership was formed with Philadelphia Public Schools to provide opportunities to participate in Learn to Play Hockey programs.
The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation was created in 2005 by former Philadelphia sports-based entrepreneur Ed Snider, a Stanley Cup winner as majority owner of the 1974 Flyers. He began the foundation “to bring the “the greatest game ever invented” to children who otherwise might never have the opportunity to play.” In the past two decades, Snider Hockey has given thousands of children the opportunity to become hockey players.
Snider Hockey now fields teams from learn to play, in house and over 20 co-ed and girls travel teams and will compete in the AGHF in the upcoming 2024-25 season.

The talented defensemen from the New Jersey Rockets has officially announced her commitment to Neumann University, marking a significant milestone in both her academic and athletic journey.
Throughout the current season, Mitcheltree has been a standout performer for the Rockets, showcasing her skills in 39 games this season. Her impressive tally of 9 goals and 4 assists, amounting to 13 points, underscores her undeniable talent and contribution to her team’s success.

AGHF member and Princeton Tiger Lilies General Manager, Shelley Looney, has recently been honored with induction into the prestigious Beanpot Hall of Fame. Hailing from Brownstown, MI, Looney is a distinguished figure in women’s hockey, having been a key member of the first US Women’s Olympic Hockey team that clinched gold in Nagano in 1998.
During her collegiate years at Northeastern University, Looney, who proudly wore the captain’s “C” for the Huskies in her senior year, showcased exceptional skill, amassing 68 goals and 59 assists for a remarkable 127 points in just 106 games. Her pivotal role in the 1994 Beanpot Championship against Harvard, where she contributed a goal and two assists, played a crucial part in the Huskies’ triumphant 6-2 victory, earning her the coveted Beanpot MVP title.
Recognizing her outstanding contributions, Looney was named to the Beanpot’s 40th Anniversary All-Women’s team in 2018. Adding to her accolades, she was formally inducted into the Hall of Fame last week, just before the 2024 Championship game. Remarkably, her alma mater once again emerged victorious in the tournament, echoing the triumph she and the 1994 Huskies achieved three decades earlier.
In Summer of 2023, Looney assumed the role of General Manager for the Princeton Tiger Lilies, marking a new chapter in her illustrious career. Prior to this, she had distinguished herself as a coach at Lindenwood University, University of Vermont, the Buffalo Beauts (NWHL/PHF) and various coaching roles within the Team USA Women’s National Team programs. As one of the trailblazers of women’s hockey in the United States, Looney boasts an impressive resume, including 1 Olympic Gold (where she scored the game-winning goal in the 1998 Gold Medal Game), 1 Olympic Silver, 7 World Championship Silvers, and 1 World Championship Gold. Her legacy continues to inspire and pave the way for future generations in the sport.
