The Atlantic Girls Hockey Federation (AGHF) is proud to announce that former Princeton Tiger Lilies General Manager Meghan Toomey has been named Head Coach of the Salve Regina University Seahawks (NCAA Division III).
A graduate of St. Lawrence University, Toomey will lead Salve Regina’s women’s hockey program this season after spending the 2024-25 season as General Manager of the Princeton Tiger Lilies, where she oversaw all program operations. Prior to her time with PTL, Toomey held various coaching roles with Colgate University, Kimball Union Academy, Kents Hill School, and The Hill School.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to coach and work with PTL and the AGHF,” Toomey said. “It’s been a privilege to be part of such a passionate and growing league that continues to elevate girls’ hockey. My time with PTL and the AGHF has helped prepare me for this next incredible opportunity to lead a strong Division III college program. I want to especially thank Patrick Choules, Black Bear Sports Group and Nikki Miller; AGHF Commissioner and an incredible advocate for girls’ hockey, for their support the last two years, and Lauren Patterson and Tim Chase from PTL for their partnership, leadership, and trust throughout my time with the program. I’m grateful for the experiences, relationships, and growth that came from this chapter, and I look forward to seeing many current and future AGHF players continue their hockey journeys at the collegiate level.”
“We want to wish Meghan a lot of success as she takes on her new role as the Head Women’s Hockey Coach for Salve Regina University,” said Black Bear Sports Group’s Director of Youth Hockey Patrick Choules. “Meghan made a tremendous impact growing the Royals Girls Hockey Program into a highly competitive Tier II girls program in the Atlantic District. Over the past year, Meghan’s impact on the Princeton Tiger Lilies Tier I & Tier II Program has not gone unnoticed and we wish her much success as she takes on this new challenge. Meghan’s commitment to girls hockey will continue to impact our programs as we work to build elite athletes and successful people through the game of hockey. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Meghan as it relates to player advancement and skill development.”
The AGHF thanks Meghan for her dedication and contributions to the league and the Princeton Tiger Lilies organization, and wishes her continued success as she begins this exciting new chapter with the Seahawks.
